Because Sometimes Only the Best Will Do

Daily, I use average drugstore shampoo/conditioner/soap/etc. in the shower (think Dove, Caress, St. Ives, etc.). However, sometimes, I'll dip into my "luxury" stock. Here is what I swear by...

L'Occitane Aromachologie Volumizing Shampoo

This smells SO good!
Very mild!
Best stuff ever.

What do you use when you want to feel pampered... I'm always looking for new things to try! Have a fabulous day!

That Girl

If you've been reading Summer Wind for a while, then you know how absolutely obsessed I am with Bewitched. No, not the movie, but the old TV show from the 1960's. I am literally obsessed with it. My roommates can confirm this because I have Bewitched on my TV at all times and own almost all of the seasons on DVD. I love that it is light and funny and the biggest reason: the clothes. Samantha Stevens is one of the best dressed characters I have ever seen. I always watch it and then try to recreate some of her outfits-- 99% of the time, her looks are so put together and timeless! My parents recently recommended another older show that they thought I would like called That Girl starring Marlo Thomas. I ordered a season on Amazon and cannot get enough of it! It aired around the same years as Bewitched so the style is very similar! Take a look for yourself...
via Google
Isn't her style fabulous? I wish I could find more pictures to do Marlo's style justice because it is classic and feminine all at the same time! Have you ever seen That Girl? Have a fabulous day!

Just Keep Swimming

I have swimwear on the brain today. Each swim season,I buy one or two new suits. I have quite the collection now but can't resist adding to my collection each season. Here are the ones I'm loving for this year!
I fall in love with a one piece every year. This year it is a Trina Turk. I can never actually bring myself to purchase one, but it happens every year.
This Madewell bikini is very unique. Plus, I love the navy and kelly green together!
This Ella Moss bathing suit has me ready to hit the treadmill and then head to the beach. I love the blue hues and the fact that it is reversible is a big bonus. It's like getting 2 suits for the price of one!
Another Ella Moss beauty! I love the ruffle detail-- most of my suits have ruffle detailing.
Because we can't forget about the gents, right? Vineyard Vines is always on point.

Which suits are you loving for summer?
Have a fabulous day!

TieTry

When Scott, from TieTry.com contacted me to let me know about his online tie website I couldn't help but share. This concept is so great! It's a little like Netflix but for ties. Basically, you add a bunch of ties to your que and then once you get them, you can keep them as long as you like. Once you return them, you get another shipment of the next ties you have picked out. I love this idea as a graduation gift for a guy. That way, the guy can enter his new job with plenty of new ties and then try out more as he goes! Here are some of my favorites:
Isn't TieTry such a neat concept? Have a fabulous day!

The Importance of a LWS: Little White Shirt

Last week I posted my review of the Bag Lady Papers by Alexandra Penney. I loved the book, but she made a point to talk about her love of white shirts. Particularly, Penney loved the white shirts from Lands End. It got me to thinking about how much I rely on my white shirts. I wear them at least once a week if not more.
See. Just these two outfits alone are from last week and they both incorporate the white shirt in very different ways. My absolute favorite white shirt is a Ralph Lauren oxford cloth button down. I also have several others that are not as classic from places such as Banana Republic, J. Crew, and Madewell

Do you love a classic white shirt? Is it a staple in your closet? Have a fabulous day!

cCm!

Last weekend, cCm went to her Snowball dance. It was one where the girls asked the guys. She wore the dress I wore on New Years Eve and I have to say she looked fabulous!
 cCm and daddy
cCm and her date! Doesn't she look so pretty?!
The whole group!
I absolutely loved high school dances. I looked forward to each and every one and am proud to say that I went to them all! They are such a fun thing that is kind of out of the norm for a high school-er. Plus, I think it teaches the guys how to treat a lady and how to be a gentleman.
Have a fabulous day!

Madewell Maven

I'm not a regular Madewell shopper. In fact, before I went to school, I had never even heard of Madewell. Particularly because there isn't one close to me in Pittsburgh. With D.C. a short ride away, Madewell has instantly become a shopping option for me. I am seriously lusting over some things for spring.
1
I love the casualness of this top. You could pair it with black pants or denim and even add a funky necklace for a "going out" look.
2
As I said, I've always been on the lookout for dresses ever since I realized just how many dress appropriate events I would encounter this year. This one is oh so fun and of course, I love the a-line shift cut of the dress.
Ok, so maybe there is a colorblocking trench that I'm loving. But I think this would look adorable with a simple white tank and cowboy boots!
I love it. I don't know what it is about this but it would make such an easy lazy day outfit and an even better swimsuit coverup.
5
I used to own a pair of black silk shorts from The Gap and loved them, but I'm  honestly not quite sure what happened to them. I am loving this shade-- so perfect with almost any color of the rainbow. Plus these are perfect for all seasons!
The perfect Belgian loafer in the perfect tan shade!
Are you a Madewell shopper? Have a fabulous day!

sCe

Victoria by Victoria Beckham

I'm not usually one to post about couture or runway fashion. Not because I don't like it (although there is a lot I don't), but  because 1, it is usually far too out of my price range, and 2, because I would look a little ridiculous walking to class in Louboutins and the latest Chanel right off the runway.  This time, I actually think Victoria Beckham actually has it.

A lot of her pieces in the Victoria by Victoria Beckham collection are actually practical. In fact, I can picture myself in every single look in the Spring/Summer collection. Have you seen VB's Victoria collection? Do you love these looks? Have a fabulous day!

sCe
